Experience

Artificial Intelligence is a subfield of computer science which is used in a variety of applications such as data mining, natural language processing, image recognition, classification and pattern recognition. At Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, our new Institute for Augmented Intelligence in Medicine is looking to develop tools that augment the workflow of clinicians. As a core member of the Augmented Intelligence in Medical Imaging working group I work as part of an interdisciplinary team, bringing together researchers from ECE, Psychology, Radiology and Neurology to tackle problems that require multiple points of view. As an expert in multi-modal MRI image analysis, I plan to use my experience with Deep Learning in order to train an algorithm for classification and prediction of longitudinal outcomes of Parkinson’s Disease. Some of the areas I have worked with are below:

  • Deep Learning (3D-CNN and Geometric Neural Networks)

  • Back Propagation

  • Hopfield Networks

  • Counter Propagation

  • Large Scale Memory Storage and Retrieval (LAMSTAR) Network

  • Support Vector Machine
